I

A large handful of small experimental projects from the first year of my BA Photography Degree at Falmouth University. All focusing on the idea of self and belonging.

Crying The Neck

A multi-media investigation into Cornish folklore and tradition created from January to May of 2024. This project pays particular attention to the ways in which folklore and storytelling encourages a connection to the local landscape and helped me to assimilate to my new surroundings. Made with the help of Kathy Wallis - a keeper of Cornish traditions, and Amber Edwards - a multidisciplinary artist. Culminating in a hand-made publication exhibited in the Falmouth Institute of Photography.

Grandeza

I first visited Portugal in 2022 where I spent time in Lisbon and later lived off-grid in the countryside of Ericeira. I returned to Portugal in 2024 to explore Porto. This loose project explores the culture of this country through a wide variety of approaches and outlines my love for it.

A Month in Vietnam

This multi-media project was created in the spring of 2023 and documents our journey across the beautiful country of Vietnam. During this trip we visited Hanoi, Sapa, Cat Ba/Lan Ha, Hue, DaNang, Hoi An, Quy Nhon, Nha Trang, Mui Ne and Ho Chi Minh City. All of the images were created using 35mm film and I have featured illustrations by Amber Edwards which she created during and after our trip. Later featured in issue: of Beyond Magazine

An early photographic project created from 2020-2022 centering around adulthood and friendship during a turbulent time in all of our lives. Featured in The Ilkley Arts Scholarship Exhibition in the Ilkley Manor House (2022).
